Who do I work with? I work with teens and adults who are facing a variety
of problems and/or concerns. I have particular training and experience
in working with those with:
Eating Disorders (including Anorexia nervosa, Bulimia nervosa, Binge-eating disorder) I also work with people who do not meet criteria for diagnosis of an eating disorder, but who may struggle with negative body image and who want to feel better about themselves and move forward in their lives. Anxiety/Stress Anxiety and stress can affect people in many different ways. Some people experience excessive worry about everyday issues (generalized anxiety), while others fear specific situations or things (phobias, panic disorder).
Depression Depression is a common concern and many people face it during their lifetime. Working with a psychologist helps some people learn to cope with the kinds of thinking and behaving that can contribute to depressive feelings, helping them feel better and stay better over the long term. Problematic Substance Use It is not uncommon for people who face anxiety and depression to also use substances (such as alcohol) in a way that negatively affects their lives.
